SUPERCOMPUTER LEVEL AI CAPABILITY

MILBOARD-XV is designed for supercomputer level edge AI applications to be used in ruggedized systems. With supported NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, up to eight 4K streams can be encoded and 12 4K streams can be decoded. AGX Xavier processor have 512 NVIDIA Volta CUDA® Cores, 48 Tensor Cores and 2 NVDLA engines providing 32 TOPS AI performance.


You can get the maximum performance from MILBOARD-XV on simultaneous video processing applications by using NVIDIA Deepstream SDK. Performance benchmarks at NVIDIA Deepstream website show that 432 FPS for Resnet-34 based people detection, 758 FPS for RESNET-18 based vehicle detection and 3518 FPS for RESNET-18 based face detection algorithms can be achieved.

DESIGNED FOR MIL-STD

As its name implies, MILBOARD-XV is specifically designed for military/defense applications. With the combination of its rich connectivity options, latest technology interfaces and the unmatched compute power of NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, you no longer need to decide between performance and robustness.


In MILBOARD-XV, every component is carefully selected to ensure maximum durability in the field. It has an extended operating temperature range of -40⁰C to +85⁰C. Connectors used on the board have proven locking mechanisms to prevent disconnections in high vibration environments. Whether your application requires you remain stationary or on the move, MILBOARD-XV is the right solution for both and can be safely chosen for applications requiring in-vehicle usage.


Conformal coating options are also available if requested to further increase resistance to mechanical and environmental effects.


CONNECT ALL TOGETHER

MILBOARD-XV offers a wide range of connectivity options. In addition to high speed interfaces like Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.1 Gen 2 or HDMI 2.0, it is also rich in regular ones like UART, I2C, SPI or CAN BUS.


With its five Gigabit Ethernet channels, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, you have a huge number of interfaces that can be used for video input, network connection, peripherals or such. As for display, a 4K capable HDMI port is ready to use. An on-board PCI Gen 4 M.2 Key-M slot eliminates the storage problem. 8 UART channels along with I2C, SPI and CANBUS interfaces provide countless options for customization like multiple RS-232/RS-485 channels, analog or digital IOs, increased number of CAN BUS channels, etc.

MAXIMUM SPEED WITH HS INTERFACES

What puts forward MILBOARD-XV from other rugged solutions is the wide range and high number of high speed interfaces available. It offers state of the art high speed interfaces for military and ruggedized solutions.


MILBOARD-XV offers five channels of Gigabit Ethernet, two channels of USB 3.1 Gen 2, a single HDMI 2.0 channel and a PCI Gen 4 M.2 Key-M interfaces. Multiple test have been performed on each of these interfaces to ensure that they perform close to their theoretical limits. With PCI Gen 4 M.2 NVME disks, a data transfer rate of 7 GB/sec has been observed. Similarly, USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports were able to transfer files at a 1 GB/sec rate. Gigabit Ethernet rates were above 900MBits/sec for all channels as well.

RELIABLE & ROBUST POWER

MILBOARD-XV combines reliability and robustness in its power design. It accepts a wide range of 18-32 VDC from its Molex Ultra-Fit power connector which eliminates the possibility of unwanted disconnections when used together with TPAs in harsh environments.


While NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier is a beast in performance when processing simultaneous data streams, it is also very power hungry. Especially in its MAX-N mode, you can see numbers up to 50 Watts in power consumption. We designed MILBOARD-XV to feed this beast without any problems even in extreme conditions. Large number of tests have been made to push the AGX Xavier to its limits in MAX-N mode for many hours and no issues encountered.


Worthy of its name, MILBOARD-XV has a reliable power circuitry that makes it ready for even harshest conditions and heavy CPU/GPU loads.
